Therefore, if you’re looking for a full restoration of your yacht, she will be in the very best hands. If she can get to us on her own keel, or if she needs to be transported to us, we can help arrange delivery or transportation from anywhere in the world. Your yacht might have been in your family for decades, or you’ve recently discovered a yacht that’s tugging on your heartstrings and in need of saving. We can completely and sympathetically restore your yacht to her former glory or better.

No matter whether she’s a classic design by Laurent Giles, Camper and Nicholson, Herreshoff, Hillyard, or Fife, or a yacht of unknown heritage, we can do all the work you need on her. We can work with you to decide the best course of action and give her the TLC she requires.

Teak deck repairs, restoration, and replacement

Few things are kinder to the eye than a freshly laid teak deck, as kind on the wallet or purse, though, perhaps not. Here, at Falmouth Yacht Services, we love a teak deck; few things can transform how a yacht looks like the proper planking and age-old design, whether it’s teak or a synthetic alternative. We can undertake all deck restoration work, whether you have a modern yacht with a teak panel on deck that is lifting, a yacht with a thick teak deck that needs sanding, or you have started to see screw heads in your deck and now is the time to replace it. We can discuss the best course of action with you.

Your deck might need recaulking or a light cosmetic sand; it may need to be completely replaced, whatever work needs to be done, we can help. If it does need replacing, we’ll discuss the options and teak stock available – given the current illegality of Myanmar teak.

If you feel now is the time to replace your deck with a synthetic alternative, we can explain your options, materials and colours. Alternatively, you might want to do away with the teak deck completely; then we can remove the teak, repair the deck, and add a GRP non-slip finish. The decision is yours.

Structural restoration and rebuilds

If your mast compression post has started to rot, your keel bolts have begun to weep, your cored deck has water ingress, or your chainplates need strengthening, we can help. We’re here for structural restorations and rebuilds of all types. Your yacht’s design may be plagued by weather-helm, or you’d like the area around the rudder strengthened or watertight bulkheads added. We work with yacht designers and naval architects to ensure that all structural restorations and modifications are carried out correctly and safely, providing years of reliable service.

We can also fully rebuild the interior of your yachts, making them stronger. This is often a more cost-effective (and environmentally friendly) way of owning a classic GRP design without having a new hull built.

Cosmetic restorations

If your varnished brightwork on deck has seen better days, the paint on your yacht’s hull is flaking off, or just something as annoying as a saggy headlining, contact us, and we can discuss all the ways we can make your yacht shine again.

As much as we like to take pride in our yachts, sometimes life stops us from paying as much attention to our yachts as we’d like. It might be a ding in some varnish that allows water in, and a winter frost has made it worse. We’re here to help. We can strip and sand off all varnish, taking handholds and capping rails down to bare wood, then, in our covered facilities, we can ensure that coat after coat of sparkling varnish is reapplied for the type of finish Rustler yachts are renowned for.

Your yachts might have years of accidental knocks and scrapes to her bulkheads, furniture or saloon table, or you might want to overhaul the interior or redesign the parts you don’t get on with. We’ll help you get exactly what you want, giving you many more years of proud ownership.
